Crochet is one of the popular hobbies around, but I have to confess I used to dislike it a bit.  Here in Panama, the weather is warm, so the crochet done here is called "ganchillo" and it is basically what you know as filet crochet.

I used to watch my mom, grandma and great grandma doing bedspreads.  The projects took them months! The results were beautiful, but still so much work!
